Let the Sun Shine @ the Sumner - 6 August 2010

A lefty couple, arrive in Noosa to find that the quaint fishing village that they loved is is now filled with the sort of wealthy Sydney-siders they hoped to leave behind. They meet up with a right wing couple and throw in a daughter and a son and relationships provide plenty of laughs. Jackie Weaver and John Wood were great.

Dead Man's Cell Phone @ The Sumner - 10 July 2010

Dead Man's Cell Phone

So a guy in a cafĂ© fails to answer his mobile phone and Lisa Mc Cune discovers that he is seriously incommunicado.

She then gets caught up in responsibility and wanting to comfort the dead man’s family, so she keeps answering the phone. Now if you have ever seen  the 1995 film "While you were sleeping' you may be starting to get the picture, however, all the charm of that film is lacking and all that you are left with is a very annoying Lisa Mc Cune.

Richard 111 @ the Sumner - 5 June 2010

Richard III tells the story of an obsessed man with twisted ambitions, who manipulates, marries and murders his way to the top. Set as a contemporary political thriller, this gripping production dissects the corruption of power in testing times; when peace is abandoned and enemies mount in the minds of the paranoid. Hmmmm  is this really Gillard vs Rudd, Keating vs Hawke, Howard vs Costello??

Ewen Leslie as Richard III

Despite arriving like drowned rats after walking/running in the rain, Ms K and guest critic, Ms C, managed to settle themselves, get over the limp and connect with the play!

The Grenade @ The Playhouse- 7 May 2010

Eloise Mignon and Garry McDonald in The Grenade

So everyone's favourite, Gary Mc Donald is a lobbyist who suddenly finds a live grenade in the middle of his living room? He also has a pretty dysfunctional family so they are also the suspects! Witty, sharp and thoroughly entertaining!

The Swimming Club @ the Sumner -13 March 2010

Six friends, a Greek island, a summer romance.
NOW
Thirty years later?
Middle-class, middle-aged, mid-career and mortgaged to the hilt, they come together in a reunion? A fabulous memorable set and John Waters and Tina Bursill added to the mix. A tick from all 4 critics,

The Drowsy Chaperone @ The Playhouse 6 February 2010

Our much loved Geoffrey Rush is a musical theatre groupie listening to his favorite 1920's musical, The Drowsy Chaperone in his lounge room.
With each song the story comes to life with a pampered starlet, gangsters, chorus girls and lotsa chaos.

Shane Jacobson, Rhonda Burchmore and Kristy Whelan thrown in to join our Oscar-star, have made it top of the leader board for Mr. D!
