Neil Simon’s classic comedy about divorced men, Oscar Madison and Felix Ungar living together.

Mr D: It needed women!

Ms M: Thank God for the second half.

Mr K: It wasn't worth coming back to Australia for.

Ms K: It's so dated and tired.

Clearly, not one of our favourites!

Switzerland @ the Sumner 8th October 2016

A famous author, the Swiss alps, a knife, a publishing house, a suitcase, a cat-and-mouse game, no interval, some blood and lotsa talking!

Ms M:  She wasn't fidgety however she did want to know if the main actor, Sarah Pierce was in one of our old favourites, "Top Girls"  #thatwouldexplaineverything 7/10

Mr D: He chose the last 3 minutes to catch some shut-eye and then missed all that blood! He did offer some words of advice however "If we know that there are only going to be two actors then we know it means it will be crap" 3/10

Mr K: Despite him looking at his watch three times he still gave it 6/10 (Hmmmm it was his pick! #justsaying)

Ms K: Well she thought that one of the characters wasn't even there. Was she right or was it a case of 'The Speechmaker' all over again Mr D?  5/10 #didnthateitbutdidntloveitthough

Double Indemnity @ the Playhouse - 1st July 2016

An insurance salesman, a married femme fatale, a duped husband, a train, an amusing secretary and an accident policy. The perfect murder?

Two of our MTC critics had just flown home that morning from Paris for this performance. What a commitment!

Mr K: It was alright- enjoyed the second half as this was the part he was awake for!
Ms K: lots of taking yet with all that talking, they failed to explain the ending properly.
Mr D: not worthy of that Tullamarine billboard advertising the play!
Ms M: a bit of a confused disappointing ending.

Mr D again created his own ending in his own mind with weddings on trains between people who weren’t even there! 

Ladies in Black @ the Sumner - 18 February 2016

In 1950s Sydney when the city is on the cusp of becoming cosmopolitan, young high school graduate Lisa takes a holiday job at Goodes, the most prestigious department store in town. 

                                      

With music by Tim Finn, a great set and a snappy script this was a winner!

Mr K thought that for a musical, it was a very good show. Mr D thought 'it was good to see Aussie talent on show'

Ms K loved the show 'despite an irritating lead' to which her MTC buddies howled her down. She did add that she loved the Bastard Song. 

Ms M thought there were lots of laughs and entertainment. GOOD CHOICE MS M!
