Top Girls @ The Sumner 26 September 2012

Top Girls

Well................
What to say?

What we understood?
Marlene is out to celebrate her big promotion at work. And she’s earned it at the Top Girls Employment Agency.

What we didn't understand?
THE REST.

Suffice to say, the cafe had us at interval and beyond.
All we are left to say is "Sorry Ms M. You will never know if it got any better however the coffee and dessert was delicious."

His Girl Friday @ The Playhouse 24 August 2012

His Girl Friday adapted by John Guare

A female reporter is set to leave her job and marry her fiancé, who is good looking and has lots of $$$. Her ex-husband wants her back. Not quite the Cary Grant/Rosalind Russell Hollywood original.
Very fast talking! And I mean VERY.

Australia Day @ the Playhouse - 19 May 2012

David James

In a small coastal town, six members of the local Australia Day Planning Committee meet to plan a memorable day of activities:
  • an ambitious, self-serving mayor
  • a Greenie council member
  • a conservative, bigoted, country Aussie who resists multiculturalism
  • another good ordinary bloke who wants the celebrations to run smoothly
  • a CWA member who struggles to understand Twitter and Facebook, and
  • a perky young teacher, makes a joke of every racist comment about his Vietnamese heritage.

A great laugh at ourselves and a harsh look at what lies beneath.

Summer of the 17th Doll @ the Playhouse - 27 January 2012

For sixteen summers, Roo and Barney have

spent their long layoff from the cane-cutting

season down in Melbourne having a high old

time with two Carlton barmaids. Each visit they

bring them gifts of those dolls on sticks (found

at the Show)

But back for their seventeenth summer,

it seems time has finally caught up with them.

An oldie but a goodie. A classic. Snaps for all.
